Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Have you made your plans for Memorial Day weekend? I found lots of great resources for activities and local events at Family Fun Houston, and I've listed them for you below. But before I jump into the flurry of fun with family and friends, I want to take a moment to pay tribute to all the men and women who have served and are serving our country. Here's a couple of images of my daughter, Kendall, with a poster she made as a school project earlier this year. She chose to honor our neighbor, Douglas Figgins, who has served for several years in the National Gaurd. He has been deployed many times, and just recently returned from Iraq only two days before his first child, a son, was born last week. Thank you Doug and all service men and women.

Lauren

We get so excited when it is time to photograph a high school senior! It's such a special time in a young person's life. We know that seniors expect a session that is fierce and fun and reflects their unique personality. This weekend we were able to do all that and more with Lauren, a very special young lady. She's about to graduate from Tomball High School, and we know she will be successful in all her future endeavors. Congratulations Lauren!

Beautiful Rebekah

I've been so excited to share these images of Rebekah's bridal session, but we had to keep them under wraps until her wedding came and went. We LOVE photographing bridal sessions, because we have time to be creative and try things we could never get the bride to do on her hectic and sometimes stressful wedding day. For the session, we started out at The Omni Hotel. If you haven't visited since their multi-million dollar renovation, it's worth a trip. Then we jumped in the car and went to Rice University. This location is a classic stop for bridal portraits, but we always try to put our own special look to the images. If you want portraits here, you must use a photographer like K4 Photography who is a registered photographer with access privileges. "Fun Cam" Unveiled

This week we had the pleasure of unveiling our new "Fun Cam" at the Perfect Wedding Guide's "Come as your Favorite Rock Star Party" for wedding professionals. It was held at the beautiful Bay Oaks Country Club. Many of the industry's leading vendors were there: Carlos Galvan Photography, The Fontenot Grand Mansion, A Day to Remember, All Around Staffing Inc., Girls in Pearls Events, Jordan Limousines, My Makeup Rocks, REF Video Productions, Tad Akers Event Facility, Butler's Courtyard, Memorable Moments, and more. The party was rockin' with music played by DJ Tera & MC Wayne. We set up the "Fun Cam" as a dry run to prepare for our fall events. It truly was fun beyond our expectations! We give the guests the "remote" to control the camera, and just let the craziness unfold. Our Fun Cam includes a video like the one below. It's a great way to get guests of a wedding or event to have fun and participate. It really gets everyone out of their chair and interracting with each other. We are running a special this month, so give us a call for more details!

Jenny & Matt’s "Fun Cam"

It's official, K4 Photography's "Fun Cam" is a hit! We had a great time at Jenny and Matt's wedding this past Saturday at Ashton Gardens. It was hilarious watching the guests dress up, and then really go crazy in the photo booth. It was great entertainment, and really got everyone out of their seats to have fun and interact with each other. One of my photographers, Megan, was the "Fun Facilitator", and she helped the crowd with their costume selections and their photographs. She has the perfect personality for the job, and it doesn't hurt that she's earning her degree in photography as well. Give us a call if you'd like to reserve the "Fun Cam" by K4 Photography.
